Former UFC champion Randy Couture was a guest on “Larry King Now” recently to discuss “The Expendables 3.”
Couture, who is just one of two fighters to hold titles in multiple weight classes in the UFC, discussed a number of subjects. You can see the interview in the video below, along with quick comments on Ronda Rousey and his son’s run in the promotion.
As someone who has been around the sport for years, Couture sees a superstar in his movie cast mate Rousey, the UFC female bantamweight champion.
“She’s the queen of MMA right now,” he remarked.
His son, Ryan Couture, competed in the UFC after Strikeforce folded. Ryan recently signed a contract with Bellator.
“My son was trying to compete in the UFC and I don’t feel like he got a fair shake from Dana (White) and I think that was directed at me,” Couture said. “That’s the only issue I really have.”
Couture left the UFC and signed an agreement with Viacom, which owns Spike TV and Bellator.
