Finally, UFC Fight Night 57 has a main event, as officials announced Frankie Edgar vs. Cub Swanson for the headline act.

Set for November 22 from the Frank Erwin Center on the University of Texas campus, Edgar and Swanson will meet in a possible No. 1 contender match. Also, the co-main event was confirmed, with lightweights Edson Barboza and Bobby Green squaring off.

Edgar (17-4-1), a former UFC lightweight champion, earned his 11th Octagon victory this past July when he stopped BJ Penn. It marked the third meeting between the fighters, with the first two coming in the lightweight division.

Swanson (21-5) appeared poised to become the next contender to the title after earning his sixth straight win, but a delay in the planned Jose Aldo-Chad Mendes fight has forced him to take on “The Answer.” Swanson has topped Jeremy Stephens, Dennis Siver, Dustin Poirier, Charles Oliveira, Ross Pearson and George Roop.

Barboza (14-2) rebounded from a knockout loss to Donald Cerrone recently, submitting Evan Dunham, Green (23-5) has won all four of his UFC fights since coming over from Strikeforce.
