Phil Davis effectively out-wrestled Glover Teixeira Saturday night, earning another win over a Brazilian in their native home at UFC 179.

After the win, instead of calling out another light heavyweight, “Mr. Wonderful” took the microphone and asked for someone in attendance at the card.

“They are calling me the Brazilian killer, but I don’t like that name. I’m a Christian man, I’m not a killer,” Davis said. “But there is one guy out there. I would love to fight Anderson Silva.”

Silva is set to return to action after breaking his leg last December to start 2015 against Nick Diaz. The former UFC middleweight champion has competed previously at 205 pounds, including a win over former titleholder Forrest Griffin.

While that is something for the future, Davis (13-2-1) was on his game vs. the former No. 1 contender Teixeira. He effectively took him down when he wanted to, and controlled the action when it get the ground. Davis credited being healthy, adding “my body felt great.”

Teixeira, who lost to Jon Jones earlier this year, fell to 22-4 overall.
