An injury to Jorge Masvidal has opened the door for Gleison Tibau to compete this January.

Tibau replaces Masvidal in a scheduled scrap with Norman Parke at UFC Fight Night 59 on January 18 from the TD Garden in Boston. The two will open the main card, which features Conor McGregor-Dennis Siver and Benson Henderson-Eddie Alvarez.

Tibau (30-10) has picked up back-to-back victories and is 4-1 in his last five overall. He earned a split decision over Piotr Hallmann in his most recent fight.

Parke (20-2-1) was set to face Diego Sanchez earlier this year before an injury knocked him out. He is a teammate of McGregor’s and is unbeaten in five UFC appearances.
