Charlie Brenneman has been released by the UFC for a second time. The fighter confirmed the news on his Twitter account.

Brenneman (19-8) dropped three straight after returning to the promotion this past January. He lost via submission to Beneil Dariush, was knocked out by Danny Castillo in April and lost again via submission to Leandro Silva in November.

After being let go in 2012 following a second straight loss, Brenneman won four straight in 2013 to earn a return to the UFC. He holds an Octagon mark of 4-7 over two stints, including losses to Anthony Johnson and former champion Johny Hendricks.
