In his 44th professional bout, Clay Guida did what he always does: grind out a victory.

With some vicious takedowns, Guida (32-15) got back in the win column and earned a decision win over Robbie Peralta at UFC Fight Night 63. He also stated plans to return to lightweight after the night.

“I’m coming for you ’55ers,” Guida said. “This was never a permanent move. I am ready for super fights.”

Following a submission loss to Dennis Bermudez last July, Guida earned his first win since a “Fight of the Night” performance vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri.

He offered his appreciation to new lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, but also made sure to let him know he remembers what happened when the two fought in 2010. Guida earned a victory after breaking the jaw of the new titleholder.

Peralta is now 18-6 in his career.
