There just might not be another fighter in the world like Sam Alvey.

He is pure entertainment before and after his fights, but he can also compete.

Alvey scored a 49-second knockout of Daniel Kelly, handing the four-time Olympian his first career loss Saturday night at UFC Fight Night 65.

“Daniel Kelly is a hero,” Alvey said. “I’ve never fought an Olympian and he seemed like a champion-type; that’s who I want to fight. And I want to fight my friends so I can make them money.”

A heavy betting favorite, Alvey (26-6) showed why, landing several right hooks. He floored Kelly with one of those shots before connecting with several more and ending the unbeaten run for the Australian.

“We watched a ton of footage and saw an opening,” he said. “His judo is better than mine and I was blessed to land something before he threw me on my head.”

With his third straight first round finish, “Smilin” made sure to call-out his next opponent, asking for a hair vs. hair match with Elias Theodorou.

“I want you, I’m gonna knock you out,” he said. “You’ve been bragging about having the best hair in MMA. If I lose, I’ll shave my head. You lose, you shave your head.”
