Thales Leites sees a stoppage win in his future.
Leites will meet Michael Bisping in the main event of UFC Fight Night 72 next month from Glasgow, Scotland.
Since a 2010 loss outside of the Octagon, Leites (25-4) has won eight in a row. That includes finishes vs. Tim Boetsch, Francis Carmont and Trevor Smith.
“For sure I will knock him out or submit him,” said Leites, during a recent interview with Submission Radio. “You will see. You can write it down and you will see.
“Maybe the first or second (round). I will fight forward. Like the Tim Boetsch fight, I fought forward. I will fight forward with Bisping.”
Leites’ first UFC experience resulted in a title shot with Anderson Silva in 2009. He lost via decision, and followed with a decision defeat to Alessio Sakara that left him looking for work elsewhere.
Bisping (26-7) has alternated wins and losses in his last nine, going 5-4. He earned a victory over C.B. Dollaway earlier this year.
