Jorge Masvidal was on the verge of becoming a top contender in the lightweight division before a recent loss to Al Iaquinta.

After deciding to move up to welterweight, Masvidal doesn’t want to waste any time before trying to work his way into contention.

Following a first round knockout vs. Cezar Ferreira Sunday night at The Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale, “Gamebred” called out another weekend winner.

“Matt Brown, if you wanna get your ass kicked, holler at me,” Masvidal said.

The 30-year-old Floridan has won six of his last eight overall, losing only via decision to Iaquinta and Rustam Khabilov. During that time, he’s submitted Michael Chiesa and earned victories over Tim Means, James Krause, Pat Healy and Daron Cruickshank.

Brown snapped a two-fight losing streak with a finish of Means at UFC 189.
