The UFC will try a different double-event trick this time, bringing The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale to Las Vegas on December 11.
That means the card will go down a night before UFC 194, which is also set for Las Vegas. That pay-per-view card boasts Jose Aldo vs. Conor McGregor for the undisputed featherweight belt.
A pair of bouts were announced for the TUF Finale card, as Joe Lauzon meets Evan Dunham and Mike Pierce faces Ryan LaFlare.
Lauzon (25-10) scored a victory over Takanori Gomi recently to improve to 3-1 in his last four, while Dunham (16-6) is on a two-fight win streak. Pierce (17-6) returns after what will be two years out due to an injury suffered vs. Rousimar Palhares; LaFlare (11-1) suffered his first pro loss to Demian Maia in March.
The Ultimate Fighter 22 features McGregor and Urijah Faber as coaches. The season is expected to air on FOX Sports 1 this September.
Below is the current lineup:
Lightweight: Joe Lauzon vs. Evan Dunham
Welterweight: Mike Pierce vs. Ryan LaFlare
