Bellator president Scott Coker held court this past weekend at Bellator 158, discussing a number of important subjects for his promotion.
Among them is free agent Rory MacDonald, who is someone Bellator is very interested in landing. MacDonald’s (18-4) contract with the UFC expired following a recent decision loss to Stephen Thompson.
“We are in talks with his management,” Coker told reporters after the event. “There’s nothing imminent. We’re just in discussions and (those discussions) are going well.”
MacDonald went 9-4 over his Octagon career, including a loss to Robbie Lawler for the welterweight title.
